Who We Are
We are an unparalleled financial support system that provides small business owners with access to capital, networks, and coaching. We work to build responsible and accessible options for these determined business owners. For over 25 years we have served a client base that is over 90% underserved, and/or low income.
Small businesses uplift communities and anchor local economies while creating opportunities for themselves, their families, their employees, and our neighborhoods. Yet small businesses who are underserved often struggle to secure capital and resources, as they can lack knowledge and access.
In addition to providing resources and loans to small businesses, we also conduct original research, advocate for policy changes, and finance community facility construction projects, such as community health centers, homeless services facilities, and youth recreational facilities in low-income neighborhoods through our New Markets Tax Credit program.
I constantly reflect on everything each of our employees has done for all the small businesses that we serve and the high-impact community projects we invest in. The impact we have on small businesses and their families, our communities, on our own organization, and on each other, especially during these very turbulent and trying times, makes me incredibly proud and humble to be part of the AOF community. The greatest asset of any organization is its people, and every single one of our employees is an integral part of our mission and purpose. As a family we have made great strides forward and I am confident that, together, there is absolutely no limit to what we can accomplish. I truly cannot wait to welcome you as part of our AOF family!

Where We Are
We are headquartered in San Jose, CA, with a second office in Los Angeles, but the majority of our roles can be accomplished virtually anywhere in the U.S.! Our current workforce is national, dispersed throughout the US and we offer a hybrid work model for any roles that require some in-office collaboration with our offices in San Jose and Los Angeles.
