FAQ

AOF is a Community Development Financial Institution (or CDFI), which is a mission-driven financial institution that seeks to create economic opportunity for small businesses in under-resourced communities. We offer free financial education, business coaching, and affordable, transparent loans that help support you, your business, and your community.

For a small business term loan: We’ll give you a quote in just 15 minutes without impacting your credit score. Once offers are presented, you will be able to choose which option works best for you. Offers will have different term lengths, monthly repayment options, and interest rates. See a video here that takes you through the process step by step.

For an SBA 7(a) loan: We will first ask you to give us more information about your business. Then, someone from AOF will reach out to you. If we think you prequalify for the loan, we will ask you to start a full application in our portal. Someone from AOF will walk you through each step of the process. You’ll be prompted in the application to provide documents such as tax returns, financial statements, and ownership information. The full process typically takes between 30-40 days from application to funding.
